Putting a Bow on 2009 and Looking Forward to Greater Things in 2010!

First of all, I want to thank you, my faithful readers, for the journey that you have supported me on this past year. I'm not quite a year old yet in blog years, but will be celebrating soon! I hope you'll join me as I plan to have several great giveaways for you to celebrate my first bloggy birthday! I have enjoyed getting to know some of you through this format and hope to be able to actually meet some of you this year! Wouldn't that just be downright cool!?!?! I think so!

This has been quite an up and down year for me, but good, nonetheless. I have met many goals this year and learned so much about life. I hope to expand that knowledge even further this next year!

It just wouldn't be right if I didn't mention my Top 10 Favorite Books this year. These books weren't necessarily published in 2009 but it's my list and I'll add those I read this year, regardless of when published!! :)

  1. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
  2. Critical Care by Candace Calvert (I can hardly wait until Disaster Status comes out!! H-O-T-T-I-E on that cover!)
  3. The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen
  4. The Reluctant Cowgirl by Christine Lynxwiler
  5. Out of Her Hands by Megan DiMaria
  6. Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer
  7. Immortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare
  8. Vanish by Tom Pawlik
  9. The Enclave by Karen Hancock
  10. The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
In total, I read 91 books this year. Not bad for a first year book blogger, I'd say. I'm shooting for at least 100 next year! I have joined a couple of challenges that I'm looking forward to (might add in a few more before the night is over) and I am super excited about Bloggiesta coming up soon and then BBAW!! I do hope to comment more on the comments to my blog and to others! It's only fair to do so! I also want to participate more faithfully in the meme's that I participated in this year. They are so much fun!

In closing, I hope you and yours have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! If there is anything I could do to help that along, please let me know!

What a great list of books, Julie. I haven't read any of those, actually. Of course if I read everything I wanted to read I would have to live forever, right? :) I hope you have a fabulous new year!

  4. I'm so honored to see my debut medical drama, Critical Care, on your list of favorites for the year--thank you! And, trust me, I'm as eager to share Disaster Status (and its "hot" firefighter hero Captain McKenna!) with you in a few months. I appreciate all that you do to put good books into the hands of eager readers, and to encourage authors. You're a blessing. May 2010 be filled with happy adventures.
