This was a fun read! Lexi's book club is meeting again and this time they are discussing the way that Josephine Tey handled mysteries. Lexi gets a call from her long lost sister who soon shows up on her doorstep under mysterious circumstances. The next day, Lexi finds a dead guy in her backyard and her sister is packing up and getting away as quickly as possible. Lexi is sure her sister has nothing to do with the guy in her backyard but does she really know her sister?

There are several plot twists, secrets, lots of deception and more in this great read!

This was a fun, cozy read featuring Lexie. She loves a good mystery and can't help herself when a member of her local book club is murdered. She takes it upon herself to investigate and try to find the culprit. In the meantime, other people around here are dropping like flies. Can she solve this mystery before it's too late?

This author is a great storyteller! She references Agatha Christie a few times. These references flew over my head as I've never read any of her work (I need to fix that, right?!?!). However since reading this, I want to go and pick up some Christie and see what I've been missing.

I'm looking forward to more of Lexie and her adventures.

Most newlyweds enjoy spending as much time together as possible, but that's not true for the Parkers. In nine months of marriage, Terry has spent a good bit of time away. He tells Erica it's for work but when two unsavory looking individuals show up on her doorstep and start demanding money, she's not so sure she knows who she married. Then when she goes "home" to her aunts, she finds out even more family secrets abound. Whatever has Erica found herself into?

This is my first read by this author but won't be my last. This book is full of twists, turns, deceit, secrets, some romance, and more. I'm looking forward to my next read by this author.
