On Katherine's 7th birthday, she received a most treasured gift...a locket that once belonged to her grandmother. It is her favorite piece of jewelry. Her family goes on vacation to California and while visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, Katherine realizes that her locket is missing. What she doesn't know is that a kind hearted seagull has found it and he's looking for her.

This is such a sweet story about treasured memories and mementos, the love of family, kindness, and going the extra mile. There are many lessons here for all ages!

This author is becoming a new favorite of mine. This book is written to inspire and encourage young people to have confidence, show love and empathy, and just be overall good people. This is a feel good story about a little girl exploring the world around her. She sees the beauty and love in nature as well as other people. This would be a great book to read to or have read to you by the littles in your life.
