Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading.
TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!!

Interesting teaser. Thanks for stopping by mine.
ReplyDeleteThat's sure an original way to dip a toe into a book, Julie. I would never have picked that little paragraph as a "teaser" myself, but now that you posted it, I can see it works that way. Hmm. You may be on to something here. :)
ReplyDeleteThe sergeant said, "If you or any of your converts wish to remain and perish here of course you may; however, as for us, we will ride out and try to fight our way around the outside walls toward the downwind side." Athol Dickson Lost Mission

BTW, I loooove this post! Great idea :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually reading a YA book of my daughter's, "Her Mother's Diary," by David Curry Kahn. Allison is on the run from drug lords responsible for her parents' death. And beyond her own survival, she must find the money her mother hid before the killers do. An elderly man becomes an unlikely haven and ... Good story, good characters -- and inspiring in that it helps you to think positively!
ReplyDeleteHere's the teaser: [[Also, she realized what Duke had said was true. She was aware that young girls sometimes disappeared, found to have been raped and murdered. She had read about that sort of thing in newspapers and seen reports of it on television, never dreaming anything like that could possibly happen to her.]]
Thanks so much for stopping by Mr. Dickson!
