Andy the Admiral and the USS Shipshape by Mark C. Fava

Andy the Admiral and the USS ShipshapeAndy the Admiral and the USS Shipshape by Mark C. Fava
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Andy the Admiral takes his reader on a tour of the Navy ship that he is on. He speaks of the ways that a seaman should act, with manners, cleanliness, and more. He does so in a rhyming manner to make it more memorable for the younger reader or listener.

This would be a great book for a family with a new seaman who may be in training. It can give them a brief glimpse into the life of the Navy and might even inspire them to go into the Navy one day as well.

Nightshade by Ronie Kendig

Nightshade (Discarded Heroes. #1)Nightshade by Ronie Kendig

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, wow, wow! This is one fascinating read and I recommend it to EVERYONE!

Max is a former Navy SEAL who feels his life has ended when his wife of six years, Sydney, wants a separation. When he can't take care of matters himself, he is called up to head a top secret undercover mission. In the meantime, Sydney is chasing all the local stories and just isn't happy until she's offered the human interest story.

Little do they know, Max and Syndey's lives are going to continue to intertwine even though they are trying to end their relationship (Ok, Syd wants to end it, Max wants another chance). Just how far will they go to sever all ties? Will their bond be severed?

All I can say is, thank God for Cowboy(s)!

Looking forward to Digitalis!
