Beefy Goes From Bully To Buddy (Courage Tales Series) by Dagmara Sitek

Beefy Goes From Bully To Buddy: Children's Book About Bullying (Courage Tales)Beefy Goes From Bully To Buddy: Children's Book About Bullying by Dagmara Sitek
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a heartwarming story!! Things are not always as they seem and sometimes people project things differently because of how they are treated by others. In this story, Beefy has good things happening but he's mad. Really and truthfully, he's probably more hurt. He takes these feelings out on others instead of directing them towards the offenders. When the foster sibling crew get ahold of Beefy, they learn a lot from him, and they from him. Love, courage, and friendship can never be over rated!

Cam Creates a HeroCam Creates a Hero by Dagmara Sitek
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The world needs more kids like Cam!! While this is a kids book and a work of fiction, I wish this was a true story! Cam sees a need in his community for a hero and he designs a robot to help others. When his original design fails, Cam becomes upset until he's inspired to revive his robot in a different way. This is such a touching story and I found myself tearing up as I read it. This book has wonderful illustrations but the story is one that impact many people of all ages. Please read this book and share it with others!

Loris Opens Up His Heart (Courage Tales Series) by Dagmara Sitek

Loris Opens Up His HeartLoris Opens Up His Heart by Dagmara Sitek
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a very emotional read! This is a book that I would STRONGLY recommend reading with your youngster, at least the first time they read it. It's a story that really needs to be told but is highly emotional as previously mentioned.

Loris is in foster care and this books focuses on the emotions that he goes through with each move he has to make. It takes a lot of courage to be Loris but there are so many of them out there! It's important to have conversations with kids reading this story to explore their emotions and feelings after hearing Loris's plight.

The illustrations in this story are very colorful and really add to the story more. To see Loris's transformation is pretty cool.
